Sera Nitrit-minus
Nitrite accumulation ("new tank syndrome") poses a threat during the start-up phase of a new aquarium, after disease treatment, or filter change, as there are not enough bacteria to break down the toxic nitrite into plant-nutrient nitrate. A nitrite level of 1.0 mg/L can already be harmful to the fish.
sera Nitrite-minus provides quick help in case of acute pollution and removes up to 1.5 mg/L of nitrite per dosage. It converts toxic nitrite into organic amines utilized by bacteria.
Advice: The amount of nitrite in aquarium water can be checked using the sera nitrite-test.
